With it being in the 50’s today, it’s easy to imagine being back out at Prairie Ridge Sports Complex and getting outdoor practices underway.  But, in the meantime, it’s been great to see all of the coaches and players practicing at our indoor facility and working on their personal and team development.  

Ankeny Xtreme + Prairie Trail Sports Complex

I am excited to announce that in the Fall of 2023, The Diamond at Prairie Trail Sports Complex will be the new indoor facility for Ankeny Xtreme!   We are excited to have access to such a premier facility in our own town.  This brand new facility that has just broken ground will have:

• 8 Full-Size Batting Cages
• 2 35’ Batting Cages
• 6 Sock Net Areas
• Ability to Take a Full Softball Infield
• Plyo Ball Area
• On-Site Physical Therapy Clinic

AGSA Scholarship

Do you have or know of a graduating senior that played for AGSA?  AGSA has set up a college scholarship fund to honor and remember the loved ones we have lost over the years. AGSA is proud to grant a $500 college scholarship to two seniors from each of Ankeny’s two schools, Ankeny High School and Ankeny Centennial High School. Applicants must be graduating seniors that are former members of AGSA who will attend college institutions in the fall of 2023. Applications are open to both competitive and recreational softball members. The application deadline is May 1, 2023.  Apply now!

Do you know of a parent on your team or maybe in your household who is not receiving Ankeny Xtreme notifications.  Do you need help updating your profile with current information?  Please contact support@leagueapps.com for assistance.  They can make sure you are up to date and receive all communications.  

Treasurer Needed

AGSA’s current Treasurer, Jason Becker, will be retiring from the board this fall as he has spent many years serving our organization.  We are looking to find the next Treasurer who would be willing to serve in this Executive Board position.  A financial background is required and experience with Quickbooks is preferred.  If you are interested or have additional questions, please contact Marc Biga at marcbiga@gmail.com.
