IT’S OPENING DAY!!!

Welcome to the opening day of the spring season!!!  We are excited to see everyone get back into the swing of team activities and player development this week.  During the offseason, the AGSA board has been hard at work to ensure we continue providing opportunities and positive experiences for the 700+ Ankeny girls that play in our competitive and recreational programs.  Additionally, the board is discussing how to enhance the experience for players and coaches who want to compete locally, in the state and regionally and for parents and fans to watch the girls develop and make life-long memories playing softball.  

I want to take a moment to recognize our board members who meet as a board, collaborate in committees and work individually within their assignments to make this organization a success!

  • The AGSA Apparel Store is OPEN NOW through January 22nd! 
    • Order your AGSA Jerseys, gear and fan apparel
    • Feel free to share the link with family and friends! 
  • New Fan Protection!
    • Last fall, new fan protection was installed over the bleachers on all 6 fields.  This will protect fans from foul balls as well as provide shade.
  • Mark your calendars!
    • AGSA hosts 3 tournaments this spring.  The Ankeny Classic I and II both provide a reduced entry fee for teams that provide parent volunteers to help during the tournament.  Coaches, please REGISTER NOW!  
      • Ankeny Classic I (April 28-30)
        • 8U Open, 10U A & B, 12U A & B
      • Ankeny Classic II (May 12-14)
        • 8U – 12U C only
      • Battle in the Burbs X (June 2-4)
